Film: Pillow Talk

Orgnisation: Screen Cornwall

Role: Sound Design

Directed by Lydia Jenkins, produced by Jake Waters.

A surrealist horror set in Cornwall, following the descent into protagonist Senan's mental psyche after her sexual assault. After a picture of her tear-stained pillow goes viral online, Senan is thrown into reluctant fame and invited onto a local talk-show,.

Winston worked on this project as a sound designer, using plugins such as iZotope RX to clean up the audio, plug ins like DC distortion and was also task with mixing for and packing the film distribution.

Film: Strangers

Orgnisation: Roaming Gorilla, Screen Cornwall

Role: Sound Recordist, Dialogue Clean Up

Directed by Robert Oliver, produced by Carys Daniel and Robert Oliver.

The documentary explores the way communication is changing. Seven participants give their views on social interactions, before having a conversation with a Stranger.

Winston was on set as a sound recordist, as well as aid in dialogue clean up on Pro Tools using Plugins like iZotope RX.

Film: Dear Martha

Role: Sound Design

Directed by Oscar Harrison Oliver

A middle-aged man attempts to navigate the daily struggles of caring for his mother suffering mixed dementia, by writing letters to her pretending to be his dead father.

Winston worked on this project as a sound designer, using a magnitude of plugins such as iZotope RX to clean up the audio, D-verb, C1 Chorus, Air Talkbox. He was also tasked with mixing the final film and packaging it for distribution.

Personal sound design project.

A personal project creative an immersive experience of progression. The soundscape brings you through changes in landscapes from nature to the urban world before being lost in the bustling life that all one can hear is the thoughts from within as it consumes you.

This surround sound pieces captures the emotions of what our deepest traumas and abuse have within, and that despite progression in the world, we still need cannot let go till it consumes us from within.
